Meditations
This RinoBooks edition presents Marcus Aurelius’ twelve books of philosophical reflections in revised modern English. It includes an editorial preface and introduction, supplementary material on the correspondence associated with Marcus Aurelius and Fronto, concluding essays, and a linked glossary. The numbered books remain in sequence, with descriptive subtitles added as editorial aids. Meric Casaubon’s public-domain English translation, available as Project Gutenberg eBook 2680, was consulted to repair identified incomplete passages. This is an editorial adaptation, not a new translation directly from Greek. The appendix is supplementary; its individual letter references and correspondence to a critical edition have not been independently verified for this edition.
